Supervising Special Needs Population is quite very challenging. – substance abusers, offenders with mental health issues, sex offenders, cybersex offenders, offenders with disabilities- sometimes they are a combination of issues, for example, substance abusers with mental health issues, or sex offenders with substance abuse issues. There are some trainings offered but typically you learn as you go and do your best to develop strong community contacts so that you can refer the people under your supervision to the correct providers or treatment program.
